“This is a hard book to review in some ways. Overall, what the master has to impart is strong and solid. No one of any spiritual tradition can really fault the truths revealed and anyone following a spiritual path will find a certain resonance here. So the problem really becomes one of method. In Eastern traditions, the idea of student/master is well established. In this book the master tells the young person all the truths he knows. It’s not the best way to engage youth who aren’t usually interested in listening to adults. A better technique might be to devise a plot where the young person is challenged to go on their own journey and perhaps the master acts as guide.” Ellis Nelson.

Firstly I would like to thank Ellis Nelson for purchasing and reading my book “The Master’s Sacred Knowledge” and then for kindly writing a review on it. You also get a big smile from me for the 4 stars.

I would like to add to Ellis’s comment “It’s not the best way to engage youth who aren’t usually interested in listening to adults. A better technique might be to devise a plot where the young person is challenged to go on their own journey and perhaps the master acts as guide.” Although I totally agree with this comment, as one should not help someone who does not want it, however in the case where someone wants to harm themselves, including committing suicide, then I think one should really try to help that person, even if they haven’t asked for the help. There is clearly something wrong in that persons life, and just maybe a few words on kindness, encouragement or nurturing may persuade that person to change their mind. (Like the story of the starfish:- An old man had a habit of early morning walks on the beach. One day, after a storm, he saw a human figure in the distance moving like a dancer. As he came closer he saw that it was a young woman and she was not dancing but was reaching down to the sand, picking up a starfish and very gently throwing them into the ocean.
“Young lady,” he asked, “Why are you throwing starfish into the ocean?”
“The sun is up, and the tide is going out, and if I do not throw them in they will die.”
“But young lady, do you not realize that there are miles and miles of beach and starfish all along it? You cannot possibly make a difference.”
The young woman listened politely, paused and then bent down, picked up another starfish and threw it into the sea, past the breaking waves,
saying, “It made a difference for that one.”
The old man looked at the young woman inquisitively and thought about what she had done. Inspired, he joined her in throwing starfish back into the sea. Soon others joined, and all the starfish were saved.”)

So getting back to the point of the “book review”, the way I have written the “plot” is to help save any “starfish” that needs help!

I have received some feedback from people who were going through a very negative and bad patch in their life, and they came across “The Master’s Sacred Knowledge” and after reading it, it gave them a refresher in their thinking and has helped them look at life from a different view and has inspired them to help others in return. (Hence, the Master suggests to the young man to hang himself by his feet and not his neck to see a different view! “The hangman in tarot cards“). Every single one of us, I’m sure has doubted themselves at some point in their lives, and we soon help ourselves out of that zone, but sometimes it’s hard to get out of that space, so this is why I have written this book to help others who are looking for a rebirth, or who are thinking negatively, who are depressed, or full of anxiety, or even suicidal and cannot find a way out of that space. It is amazing to see and feel the changes that happen inside of you with just a little bit of self knowledge, which helps you look at life very differently, which then reflects outwards changing your outer reality experiences. When one changes their inner world experiences, the outer world experiences mirrors it.

The subject of committing suicide is very close to my heart so this is the “plot” direction I took, as I went through this phase in a very dark period in my life, and I’m lucky that my unseen helpers, angels and spirit guides worked overtime in getting me to change my thought process! I am ever so grateful they did, because since then, my life as been a great fun filled adventure!

The Master in the book does in-fact offer keys to help the young person find a starting point from which to work from. It’s then up to the young person to do what he wishes with the information / teachings he has received as he goes on his own journey of self discovery. A good teacher awakens the student to themselves, but allows the student to take their own journey to discover themselves, it’s up to them how they take the journey inwards to the heart centre. Yes, it is a difficult journey at first, but a very rewarding one once you start. It is like walking a labryinth, which is full of twists and turns and it seems you are going back to where you came from, but in reality, you are taking the steps inward and without knowing when, you will step into the heart centre and discover UNCONDITIONAL LOVE! Then life can never be the same again for you or others you interact with, and your world will become golden and happy and full of joy!

“No one of any spiritual tradition can really fault the truths revealed and anyone following a spiritual path will find a certain resonance here” that is because we are a spiritual being having an Earthly experience and deep down, our soul knows the truth!
